Dear Friends and Family,

We greet you with Thankfulness. Ps 68:19 says, "Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah." There are so many blessings that shower upon us every day as King David reminds us. As the fact of America seems to change before us daily, it is easy to forget what we have had and loose gratitude in the appearance of some of it slipping away. We are truly living in some of the greatest days of opportunity for the sake of God's Kingdom.

I think of all the churches, Bible and Christian Colleges, Humanitarian support organizations, Evangelistic teams and even Christian businesses who are making huge impacts throughout not only our nation but the world. These things and the things our eyes see and technologies are amazing to witness these days, but most of the time we just take them all for granted. We hope you will pause and remember what a privilege it is to be living in these days before Christ comes.

These days I am realizing more than ever that people make a difference in time and in eternity. We regularly touch their lives, and they touch ours in return; often we forget the impact upon them left by our touch. We do thank the Lord for the many lives that we've touched as much as they've touched us!

Last year on July 3, 2012 after the Tuesday Bible Study Sally Baribault prayed to receive Jesus as her Savior after months of struggle with her Catholic background. At the age of 75 then she wanted peace she had not known with 'religion.' I waited watching, but have realized her conversion is real.

She has many health struggles, but the spiritual difference in her is visible, and salvation assurance is hers as well. Please pray for her health physically and spiritually because anyone who truly gets saved soon knows the opposition that follows from Satan.

Turning the Tide in America

As 2013 continues to bring unbelievable change in America and economic conditions, we have realized there is a part each one of us can do to see real change take place. Unheard of freedoms lost have shaken many Americans to our core, so Pat decided to begin a weekly American History study at his nursing home ministry, Riverside, that began in April. This is the home we've ministered in monthly since shortly after our marriage in 1988. It is a series on America's Godly heritage using the enjoyable dvd videos from www.wallbuilders.org with David Barton. It seems like evil prevails and abounds, but we're determined to keep sharing better news brought to us by our unbelievable forefathers! We intend to continue to study the U. S. Constitution, it's biblical basis and the God of America's Founding into 2014.

Our 'Mother' Mary Wise

In early May, just as we were planning vacation, we received word our 'Mother' Mary Wise had entered the hospital and then experienced kidney failure. We made the 11 hour trip to Ohio early that month. She recovered for a while and we hoped God would do the rest and return her to us for a while longer. We saw many opportunities to witness to her friends and loved ones while on this trip. The details of our time with her are shared at http://aprayernotebook.net/cpl/marywise/. After we returned to CT we were given notice of her home-going. Many loved her and came to the funeral. She was a friend of us all, and we are anxious to see her in Glory again.

Our 25th Anniversary

Our 25th Anniversary was on August 13, 2013! We were blessed to have celebrated this milestone by the generosity at our church friends who had a restaurant party. We were given three gift cards to eat out which we rarely do.

OUR FAMILY CORNER:

1. Pat

One year ago Christine broke her foot, and had a 30 day cast, which was a real challenge for her to keep off of it for healing. In April Pat went to an ENT doctor and was diagnosed with "Silent or LaryngoPharyngeal [LPR] Reflux," a condition probably caused by his hypoglycemic diet and many years of eating just before bed. Discovering this has both helped and complicated his condition. He immediately stopped eating after 6pm nightly which greatly improved sleeping for him, something he has struggled with for most of life in CT. But the Reflux problems are not leaving easily. He is therefore seeing a gastroentologist for an exam to evaluate his entire digestive system. He must also see a podiatrist for abnormal warmth on the bottom of his feet.

David

2. David's computer side business is keeping him busy when he is not cleaning carpets or in martial arts. He is always calling, texting, and exercising in Tae Kwon Do class. He rides his bike to church for every service and to many activities, and to help anyone needing it with their computer problems. We are thankful that in almost every home we are able to bear witness of our faith in Jesus before during or after the cleaning is done.

 Joseph

3. Joseph is constantly helping people at church and around the neighborhood in various ways, including mowing yards, and just doing servant jobs not being done. He is a good friend to everybody, and they are quick to tell us so when he leaves for school. We hear the same at school, but he has little time there for much more than studying for his Junior year at Pensacola Christian College. He is always fixing and tinkering with his bicycles - even sells them down in Florida while he's in school.

Christine

4. Christine cleans for two ladies weekly and helps at church in various areas; she has been blessed by memorizing Scripture and attending a Bible study for ladies at our church.

New Truck-Mount

5. Our new truck-mount has been performing exceptionally well, and seems to clean circles around the other one. We have taken on as much as 10,000 sq ft on a 5th floor office building, and extremely dirty apartments and even a kitchen. It heats the water 50 degrees higher than the old one and has about the suction of 13 vacuum cleaners. We're finding it cleans faster, with less chemical usage and faster drying times. These are 3 huge bonuses for our clients as they call us back after years of delay in some cases. We praise God He has given all this to us!

Website

6. Website software failures forced us to migrate to new sources. Our website http://aprayernotebook.net/ has suffered formatting and broken menus since the funeral and Pat has been very slowly learning new software. It is time consuming, and complex but Pat enjoys the editing immensely.

Books-for-Ministry

7. Bulk Books-for-Ministry Buys. A book studied in church Sunday School was such a blessing that Pat decided to buy for everyone else in the class an actual copy instead of their using copies of the chapters, and then began sharing in his Westside ministry the same info. We now have received the dvd and combined study guide. Victory Over the Darkness by Neil Anderson is the kind of book that makes you want to do God's will, and make meaningful changes in life. I would like to t,each using it in my nursing home Bible study as well as other people as God leads. I have also this year bought other books in bulk which we are passing out because of their value in ministry: The Red Sea Rules by Robert Morgan (www.redsearules.com) was given to me by a fellow Christian carpet cleaner after our crankshaft sheared last year July 29th and is helping many now going through 'Red Sea' events in life; Done - What Most Religions Don't Tell You about the Bible by a New local Pastor from CA, Cary Schmidt, (www.strivingtogether.com) is a book explaining salvation without works better than any other book we've read. It was purchased bulk by Pastor Rowley for our church and was to given each attender to evangelize . I thought this is good enough to give to clients, neighbors, and friends.

Anniversary for Pat

8. 30th Anniversary for Pat in CT, August 26, 1983 - 2013. This year marks Pat's half-of-life-in-CT year, since he turned 60. The blessings of living is CT have been multi-fold, and the best years of his life have been celebrated here. But all of us face 'perilous times' as revealed by unbelief in America and it's socialism...

So we look to the Certainty we have in God's providence 1. Our Heavenly home [Read the excellent study of it at http://scottandjanetwillis.com/ What on Earth is Heaven Like?] 2. Our prosperous country is blessed by God as undeniably as it is being judged by God. 3. Our warm and comfortable home encourages us. 4. We have excellent churches, schools, missionary organizations, evangelists, and especially pastors all around us. 5. We have a blessed hope in the coming of Christ.

May your Holidays and the Christmas Celebration be a time for great rejoicing in your family, your church, your town , and especially your country.
