Dear Family and Friends,

Connecticut Greetings to All our Family and Friends. We are rejoicing in God’s rich blessings to our family after 17 years of marriage now. We have our own home, often called ‘the American Dream,’ an 18 year-old business that provides all of our material needs, and an almost new vehicle with no other outstanding debts. We have an excellent way to home school our children with the highest quality of education available today from a Christian’s point of view.

Pat is rejoicing over spiritual opportunities to disciple Bernie Meisler, and performs a weekly Bible Study at his nursing home on Tuesdays. Bernie is growing as a triple-walking-miracle: 1)He is 87(men this old don’t usually get saved at 85), 2)He is Jewish (most Jewish people do not convert at all), and 3) he is still healthy enough to walk up 65 stairs to watch the ‘Messiah’ in the Hartford Bushnell theatre. I wonder if any of us could do this at 87? Bernie also entered full church membership this year as well.

Chris is really busy these days. It seems like everything goes so smoothly because of her. She cooks, teaches, shops, keeps the books, helps in business cleaning, prepares calendars for church and business, decorates the church bulletin boards, and faithfully sends out hundreds of birthday cards each year.

David’s schooling comes through BJU LINC DVD Home School.

Our church "Trail Blazers:" a home schooler’s biweekly meeting time was very well organized this year and the boys were eager to participate in it’s activities.

David loved our new teen program at church and tried to go to every youth activity. He biked to all church activities as often as weather permitted.

This year he went on two exciting missions trips. One was to Niagra Falls, Canada, and another to Boston to help a church planting pastor supported by Truth Baptist. He had to learn 40 verses in Ps 119 for the first, and several verses in Proverbs and have strong participation in the youth group before he could go.

We are proud of his teachable and hard working spirit. He also attends the Wednesday pre-church teen visitation all non-winter months. He is also now a member of the adult church choir. During the Junior’s sports programs put on by Pastor Matt Harper, David loved to assist in coaching: especially for our tournaments where Joseph participated as a player.

The Goodell’s treated us for David’s birthday, June, 2005.

David has a close and good friend, Jonathan Goodell, from a precious family we have come to know attending our church. The Goodell children, Jamie and Jonathan, have come such a long way from dark early years that it is truly exciting to see how God will use them both as examples for Him!

In August, David attended the Wilds Christian camp for the third year in a row. The theme was "The Days of Knights," and David brought home a DVD of the experience. It was a very thrilling time, and many in church viewed the DVD several times. Amazing testimonies came– even from the adult sponsors who went.

Joseph – "I like Soccer and Basketball. I won second place in Soccer and 1^st place in Basketball last year. This year we took 4^th place in Soccer, and I’m eager for Basketball to start. I’m almost ready to go into the teen group since I am turning thirteen in January."

Joseph’s favorite family fun is to go on walks with Dad to the Golf course and search for frogs and golf balls. He has amassed a great collection of balls!

Our Back Yard

We had to install a new furnace & hot water heater in our house, and then build a new chemical room for the carpet and janitorial supplies to prevent future furnace damage. We also finished installing replacement windows in our basement at the same time. Now all windows are replaced.
